ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TESTS
IELTS: One of the most popular language tests for those seeking to study abroad is IELTS, or International English Language Testing System. There are two types of IELTS: IELTS Academic for Studying in Australia and IELTS General for Immigrating to Australia.
PTE: Many universities in the Australia recognize the Pearson English Test, or PTE. But will need to check with them before studying PTE.
TOEFL: Students must take the TOEFL, or Test of English as a Foreign Language, in order to be admitted to their selected study location.
For IELTS, the minimum score is 6.5 – 7 score bands, and for TOEFL, it is 75 – 90 for Australia.
CAEL: A standardized test in academic English is called the CAEL, or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment Test. The purpose of this test is to evaluate the English language proficiency of test takers who intend to enroll in Canadian colleges and universities.
